. . . it always seems, about this time of year, am ready to throw open the windows to the bright sunlight, in wild anticipation for springtime, and so, it is not difficult to imagine one being hopelessly drawn this perfectly romantic home, with its dusky lavender walls and pooling drapes of the same hue, its tufted linen chairs and carved settees, scalloped and gilded and mirrored accents, its florals and lucite may bring on bouts of spring fever at any moment . . .

. . . as you know, a few weeks ago in the early morning light of late summer, stopped in for coffee & mimosas at the opening of tory burch's new flagship boutique on 797 madison avenue in new york, for a glimpse of the beautiful interiors spanning across five floors of a 19th century townhouse . . .



. . . and while browsing the new collection and in between a glass of champagne for me, and a freshly brewed coffee from a gilded service for laily, had the chance to catch up with tory and ask her a few questions . . .

. . . and while on the topic of leopard print & bright winter whites, positively enchanted with the romantic and dusky light flooding through this home in buenos aires, and, of course, the leopard print against white walls and floor-grazing draperies, intoxicatingly intermingled with warm wood, velvet and florals . . .

. . . and it was a perfectly lazy sunday: a quaint café with p, after an early afternoon of entertaining friends -- strong cups of coffee & good conversation, and there were roses and orchids from a saturday stop at the flower markets, banana bread and butter tarts and a late, late dinner on friday evening, ending with an evening out, red wine and candlelight on sunday night, and there is still so much to look forward to in the new week . . .
