{take me away № 23 | dublin, ireland}

As you glide along in the sky, gazing out the window, just before landing, there is a pivotal moment of being lost, lost in the spell of Ireland; the spell of the patchwork of
lush and picturesque land—a land that measures from warm, golden yellow hues to indescribably rich shades of jade, malachite, and emerald.

But beyond the land, the wondrous Irish landscape is surrounded by almost architectural, asperous cliffs, offset by soft beaches, kissed by sparkling waters.

The third-largest island in Europe, Ireland is divided between the Republic of Ireland, and Northern Ireland, a part of the United Kingdom. The lush vegetation of this 'Emerald Isle', as it is poetically known, is attributed to the mild but changeable oceanic climate; the land is made up of low-lying mountains surrounding a central plain and several rivers running inland . . .

{hope you've had a beautiful weekend + a few lovely links}

. . . today began with one of those mornings where the mind whirls with a million projects & plans, and so much so, that sleep was impossible and coffee & throwing open the curtains was all that one could do; and the desk is a beautiful mess of daybooks and fountain pens and very long lists, and it's off for a bit to make sense of it all, leaving you with, as promised, a few lovely links . . .

"September: it was the most beautiful of words, he’d always felt, evoking orange-flowers, swallows, and regret."

- Alexander Theroux, 1981

......................................................................................................

. . . the only fleeting regrets being, perhaps, the end of late dinners on balmy rooftop terraces at sunset and hours dreamily slipping by at the beach -- but september has its own beautiful charms: dusky mornings and french press coffee, soft leather clutches and wide-legged jeans, socks & heels and chic belted trenches, and most of all, wool tartan blankets as the leaves fall . . .

happy september! wishing you sun-drenched days as summer falls away and wonderful things to look forward this autumn, roséline xo

{hello & tuesday musings}

hello-header
florals-on-the-beach2

. . . after spending yesterday afternoon at the beach, completely technology-free {as one should be when surrounded by sand, blue skies and magnificently crashing waves} due to a dead iphone battery, have been having a bit of a time getting back into all things work-related, especially since it is {unbelievably} already august and it feels as if, at any moment, summer could slip through our fingers . . .

{have a romantic [long] weekend + links}

happy weekend
ruche28

. . . this weekend has been filled with such lovely things -- strong coffee and frothy lattes, chocolate & banana crêpes at sunday brunch, and dinner at a favourite restaurant {for dessert: a warm chocolate brownie with peanut butter mousse and banana ice cream, sprinkled with peanuts, and drizzled with the most decadent caramel sauce}, conversations from oceans away and taxis in the rain, time at the shops {a new shimmery gold top} and long walks in the late-may sun, the strains of opera music in the background and just the two of us . . .

hope you're having a perfectly romantic {long} weekend & that it's beautiful where you are, roséline xo
