. . . hello again! had not meant to go missing for quite as long, but as you know, with travel, things can sometimes get a little tricky when it comes to scheduling, and today, sunny, bright & beautiful in geneva, and with terrace cafés overlooking the lake and walks along cobblestone streets, still-leafy parks, fountains and cathedrals, was far too tempting to take the day to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather . . . not certain when there next will be a moment to say hello, but for now, leaving you with the utter sophistication of metallic wallcoverings, scalloped headboards and monogrammed bed linens, chandeliers and gilded mirrors, lavender velvet and de gournay . . .

. . . has been one of those weeks, where, despite having a million things to do, thoughts could not help but wander to these last few weeks of summer, and with family to arrive from paris for a few weeks, painting & decorating projects, design work & interviews, it's lovely, lovely to have the weekend to {hopefully} find a few moments to spend in the early-august sun . . .

. . . there are few things quite like awaking to the slow seduction of sunday light, followed by a {rather romantic} early morning walk to the café and strolls about the fruit markets for plums and summer peaches -- a welcomed change of pace from last week's flights and drivers and barely unpacked cases . . . and now, a sunny, summery monday, and ready for a new week and all of the wonderful things that it brings, catching up on correspondence and beginning new projects, finalizing plans and feeling the warmth of the golden afternoon sun at every turn . . .
