. . . blouses strewn with intricately embroidered blossoms, billowy shorts and crisp jackets, pleated skirts, light knits and linens -- the chloé spring 2012 collection is filled with such prettiness, that despite the suddenly brisk mornings, a little wistful for the breeziness of springtime, or perhaps, even, far off and tropical places, when the first of the snow has fallen . . .

. . . still sorting through a million photos, but couldn't help but be a little sidetracked by these perfect combinations -- whether leather & cashmere, rough-hewn & gold -- or here, soft chambray paired with layers of tulle for day, and distressed denim paired with pretty pleats by night, shall never tire of rock & refined . . .

. . . and if there was any doubt as to how fleeting the summer months are, one week of wimbledon, the world's oldest & most prestigious tennis tournament, has already come and gone, unavoidably missed, due to wonderful projects and whirlwind travels, but, happily, still the final week left of royal attendees and crisp summer whites, impossible excitement and, of course, strawberries & cream . . .

. . . intermingled with the more casual pieces of chambray and cotton, there were black sequins and whispery floral dresses, pretty bow blouses and deep coral pantsuits, fitted jackets, sheer skirts, impossibly elegant capelets, and all with that ever-present, always perfect sophisticated seventies air . . .

. . . hello again! had known the week would be a busy one, but was not prepared for the beautiful whirlwind it has become, and through the all the running around since it began -- the meetings, appointments, lunch dates, flower markets, shops and photo shoots, have not had as much time to stop in to say hello as much as would like, but in all the while, the most utterly charming and impossibly thoughtful messages have been coming through . . . how delightful! {& thank you} . . .

. . . yesterday was one of those days were it seemed as if inspiration was always just nearly out of grasp, and while coffee & a moment of repose, a late lunch date and a little fresh air seemed to help, when all else fails, {with the exception of a flight to paris}, there are always ribbons, ruffles, and tulle, tulle, tulle . . .
